Majestic Phones Samsung Galaxy S2 and LG Optimus 2X SU660

1) Build Quality:

LG Optimus 2X looks like a high end smartphone. The Gorilla Glass is superbly integrated into a polished metal rim that sits flush with the display providing very solid feel and superb looks. Well the HDMI out comprises of door to protect the port and the speaker. The microphone arrangement resembles to that of iPhone 4 protected with grill work. The power and lock key is on top of the phone in the right hand corner. Overall it’s a well built smartphone.

2) Display:

The Samsung Galaxy S2 features 4.3 inches Super AMOLED Plus display which offers the darkest of blacks allowing the other colors to jump off the display. The 480×800 resolution enables the user to view web pages, pictures or videos quite clearly. The display is covered by the Gorilla Glass and watching TV on 4.3 inches screen is fun. Usual blueish tint is observed but ever so light compared to other recent smartphones from Samsung as in Infuse 4G.

3) Camera:

The 8 MP camera of Optimus 2X captures better still photographs with deeper colors, better contrast and more detail. On the other side pictures clicked by Samsung Galaxy S2 looked a bit washed out next to the 2X photos. Well the 1080p video capture of the Galaxy S2 is superior as compared to that of Optimus 2X. Another fact is that the IPS LCD display on the Optimus 2X made taking photos a bit simpler outdoors as compared to Super AMOLED Plus display.

4) User Interface:

The Samsung’s TouchWiz 4.0 provides better and larger selection of widgets. It also offers quicker ways to move around the interface and more UI customization. The ability to build folders, size widgets and utilizing the pinch feature to move between panels from any panel adds to superiority of Samsung’s TouchWiz 4.0 UI.
