Samsung Galaxy Nexus ranked as one of the year’s biggest smartphone launches and comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Android 4.0 is Google’s update to their whole mobile Operating system. The mobile phone is definitely the most anticipated device of 2011.

1. Design & Features – Samsung Galaxy Nexus has a stunning 4.65 inch super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen and the display resolution is of 720×1280 pixels. You can comfortably hold in hand as measures 135.5×67.9×8.9 mm and weight is around 135 gram. The screen is perfect with deep vibrant colors and pin sharp details.

There is textured back that adds grip and physical buttons are well positioned. It is aligned to Samsung extremely popular Samsung Galaxy S2 and supports the same Texas instruments 1.2 GHz processor. There is a 5 megapixel camera and image quality is good. You can also enjoy near instantaneous shutter speeds with zero display between pressing the capture button and the photo being taken.

The single motion panorama feature is also impressive that enables you to scan the horizon. There is a host of camera features including macro setting and ISO control.

2. Android 4.0 – The highlight of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is Android 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich. For smartphone users, it is a huge leap forward from 2.3 Gingerbread and better than the tablet OS Honeycomb. But the 5 megapixel camera is not that much impressive.
