Apple is apparently testing new iPad, iPod, and an "unknown" product using the latest version of the iOS 4.1 betas. iPod 4,1 in the documentation is likely to refer to the latest iPod touch, while iPod 2,1 if following last year's reference of iPod 1,1 is expected to be for a new iPad.
