The LG Ally is a smartphone launched by Verizon with Android OS 2.1 and is getting an upgrade to version 2.2. The latest edition of Google's OS will support Adobe Flash as well as other development although LG was ready to give upgraded the company spokesperson didn't say anything about the new version.
New in Android OS 2.2 The Google's latest OS version is required for devices to run Adobe Flash Player 10.1, which permit the web browser to make use of websites that use Flash for navigation, games, and showing video. The full version of this Android OS 2.2 includes portable hotspot software, allowing it to share its 3G Internet connection with other devices over a Wi-Fi connection. It's not clear if the Ally's version of this operating system will include this feature.
This new OS version also contains a number of other small enhancements, such as the ability to store applications on a removable memory card.
Overview of the LG Ally: The smartphone is a slider, a 3.2-inch WVGA (800 x 480) Touchscreen and a landscape-oriented QWERTY keyboard.
Naturally, the LG Ally supports Verizon's voice and 3G (EV-DO Rev. A) data networks. In addition, the device includes Wi-Fi, stereo Bluetooth 2.1 and GPS.
