Nokia Obligated To Ensure Quality Customer Service

NOKIA has given its word to make high quality products from its base in China to meet the needs of not only users in China, but also mobile phone users across the globe. During a tour of the facility Nokia Communications Director for China, Louise Ingram, told journalists that Nokia was the market leader in China with more than 72.6 million devices sold in 2009.

 

She said more than 200 million Chinese people used Nokia mobile phones, adding that Nokia was a good corporate citizen with a specially designed building that had helped to significantly reduce carbon emissions by approximately 88,000 tonnes.

 

The Nokia China Campus which was built using green building principles has acknowledged Leed Gold Rating and is Nokia’s first Leed Gold building globally. The executives also designate that Nokia is committed to raising its investments in Africa, unfolding the continent as important to its operations.

 

With the establishment of a research centre in Nairobi in Kenya, Nokia hopes to intensify research into the market potential on the continent as well as other socio-economic factors related to the use of mobile phones. They also gave the assurance that Nokia was bringing severe actions to deal with the issue of counterfeiting of its products to protect users.
